Edinburgh Farmers market takes place every Saturday from 9-2 on the spectacular setting of the Castle Terrace.This busy, traditional market has over 60 stalls selling quality food and local produce, the majority of which are run by primary producers - that is farmers that have grown the produce themselves.
Shopping at the Farmers Market
Produce on offer varies with the season and includes the best of local traditional produce and continental classics. Organic, free-range and fresh are the key ingredients and offerings include irresistible take-away treats such as almond croissants or a hog-roast. For take-home treats honey, soaps, candles, bread, wine, fresh fruit and vegetables and meats and seafood are also on offer.
With live music adding to the fun this friendly and bustling market is well worth a visit.
